Home | Small Dumpsters
A small dumpster refers to our compact 10, 12, or 15 yard roll-off containers. These sizes are only 3.5-4.5 feet tall, making them easy to load by hand without climbing or lifting over high walls. They're perfect for homeowners with limited driveway space, garage cleanouts, or projects involving heavy material where weight limits matter more than volume. Small dumpsters fit in tight spaces where larger containers won't work—narrow driveways, side yards, or small job sites.
In some areas we also have "lowboy" dumpsters, which typically hold either 10 or 12 cubic yards, but they are longer and shorter than the standard sizes (around 16 ft long and 2 ft high). The lowboys are used mainly for heavy material like brick, rock, dirt, or concrete removal.
Ordering a small roll-off with Trash Daddy is simple:
There are three sizes that we rent that are considered our small sizes - the 10 yard, the 12 yard, and the 15 yard. Not every size is available in every area, so check your specific service area page for availability and more specific dimensions.
Pro tip: the price difference between the small sizes and larger sizes is smaller than most people think. While the small dumpsters are practical choices if you have limited space requirements, they may not offer the best value compared to slightly larger sizes like the 20 yard.
Dimensions: 11' L x 8' W x 3.5' H
Capacity: 10 cubic yards / 4 pickup truck loads
Weight limit: 1 ton included in price (in most areas)
Best for: ideal for very small renovation jobs, cleanup projects, or moving out of a small house. Also, for heavy debris like concrete, brick, dirt or sod.
This was my first time using a roll-off service. I called many companies from my google search. Trash Daddy was the first one that actually answered the phone. They answered all my questions. The delivery and pick up was exactly like scheduled. Great experience with this company. I will use them again as my 10 yard roll-off was not quite large enough for all my stuff-my miscalculation, not theirs.— Ezequiel Zarco ★★★★★
Trash Daddy seems like a small company giving big service. They had a variety of sizes and had good explanation on the website to help me choose the right size. Scheduling was a piece of cake and I needed pickup the next day. Pickup was no problem. I felt like this was an affordable service and a fair business transaction.— Dave ★★★★★
Small dumpster prices typically range from $395 to $550 depending on your location, the size, and the type of material you're disposing of. Heavy materials like concrete, brick, or dirt will cost more due to higher disposal fees at the landfill. All dumpster costs are ultimately based on weight. For an exact price in your area, visit our online ordering page, use our live chat or give us a call.
You can dispose of most household junk, construction debris, yard waste, furniture, appliances, and general cleanup materials. Small dumpsters are particularly well-suited for heavy materials like concrete, brick, rock, or dirt because the lower capacity helps keep weight within safe limits. Items that cannot go in any dumpster include some electronics, refrigerators, paint, chemicals, tires, batteries, and hazardous materials. Visit our prohibited items page for the complete list.
It depends on how narrow the alley is. We use large CDL trucks that require at least 60 feet of length, 12 feet of width, and 60 feet of overhead clearance for safe delivery and pickup. Before delivery, we pull up every address on Google Maps to check access. If you're concerned about alley access, give us a call—we'll review your specific location and let you know if delivery is possible.
In most areas no, whether it's on your property or the street. A few cities will require a permit if you want to place the dumpster on the street, or on certain streets (like in busy areas like downtown). Permit requirements and costs vary by location. If you have to place your dumpster on the street, just check with us first. Many times we can handle the permit for you included in the rental, but in some cities you have to arrange it with the city yourself. We can let you know if this applies in your area.
