Trash Daddy Dumpsters is a local roll-off dumpster rental company. Before you rent a dumpster with Waste Management, consider talking to us first. Why?
Better service, guaranteed

If you're searching for a dumpster rental from Waste Management (WM), you've probably seen their website. They show up all over the top spots on Google because of the size of their company. They are one of the largest trash companies in the country, with roll-off service available in most markets. But being the biggest name doesn't always mean the simplest or most affordable option. And it definitely doesn't mean bigger = better service.
Below is a breakdown of WM's pricing and fee structure, plus how a locally-run alternative like Trash Daddy stacks up.
No ridiculous hold times. You call, a real person answers. Amazing, right? No AI, no "press 1" for whatever.
Real dumpster rental expertise - talk to a knowledegable expert, not just any call center rep. It can lower your total cost!
Great prices, better service! WM's prices are usually pretty good, but the service is another story. A smaller local provider like Trash Daddy almost always provides faster service with much better communication.
If you demand the best level of service, looking at a smaller local roll-off company will always be a better option than Waste Management, or any national trash company.
And prices are still very competitive. Great service with competitive prices - a winning combination!
We had one of our customers, Drew Storevik, reach out to us looking for a 20 yard dumpster. He had ordered one with WM, and it wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be. He tried calling and couldn't get a straight answer on when it could be delivered. He reached out to us, and we had a 20 yard delivered the same day, and for a better price. Check out the review he posted for us:
This is a great business. Prices are fair, way better than anything you will get from Waste Management. Highly recommend it if you are moving or doing home improvement.

Here is an estimate of some WM pricing. But remember - this can vary depending on size, location, and other factors.
One thing to keep in mind is Waste Management, like so many "traditional" haulers, often have a price for the haul, and then several add on fees that come later. As we mentioned, this can vary depending on the location. But typically there is a base haul rate of $400-600 (these figures are based on published industry pricing data and third-party cost surveys of WM's roll-off service, not our own quote — actual pricing in your area may differ, so confirm directly with WM before booking).
Rental periods vary but 10 days is fairly common. Fees for extending the rental period is often $10 per day at least. WM will usually have fees on the final bill like fuel surcharges and environmental fees, and those fees often add up to another 15-20% of the total, or about $60-120. Then you have the final weight. It's common for WM to include 4 tons of weight in the base price, and then it's around $60 per ton above the 4 tons (again this varies by area).
So, for a standard 30 yard dumpster that weighs 5 tons with Waste Management, it would not be uncommon to be charged around $660, after all fees and tonnage. Not terrible. But, the service is where WM, and large trash companies like them, really fail many customers. Becuase they are so large, they regularly struggle to provide good service, and often the service is bad - slow, hard to reach someone, and poor communication. This is one of the reasons you have seen such a large increase in privately owned roll-off haulers in the last 10 years or so. Without fail the service from a local, privately owned roll-off dumpster company, like Trash Daddy Dumpsters, is almost always much better than a larger national hauler like WM.
On average, the same 30 yard dumpster with Trash Daddy (in most areas) would cost about $675. That is $525 base price, plus 2 tons in excess of the 3 tons included in the price for $75 per ton. Pretty similar. But where WM cannot compete is on service. Because we are much smaller, we can be much more responsive. And, when you call us you talk to an experienced roll-off pro, not just a call center rep. Our 750+ 5-star reviews prove we provide a much better customer experience, and for a very competitive price.
Price: Flat Rate, no hidden fees.

Order Process: Phone, online, email. Order online in under 5 minutes. No personal info required to check prices instantly using our zip code tool.
Who Answers The Phone: experienced pros in the roll-off industry. Real people. No AI.
Reviews: Excellent - over 750 5-star reviews with a 4.9 rating.
Service Area: 11 states. See our service areas page for details.
Price: Flat Rate, plus add on fees.
Weight Limits: normally 4 tons included in price, $60-120 per ton over 4.
Order Process: Phone and online. Personal details required (name, address, email) to even see pricing.
Who Answers The Phone: large national call center reps.
Reviews: Poor. As one example, WM's own Google Business Profile for their Denver, CO location shows a 1.4-star rating across 203 reviews — a pattern that repeats across many WM locations nationwide.
Service Area: Nationwide, although not in every city.
Bottom line: our rates are competitive with WM, and our service will always outperform them.
Trash Daddy provided exceptional service beyond all of my expectations. They were able to provide same day service on short notice when other companies were weeks out on reservations, and they also beat the competition’s price. For anyone out there looking for a roll off dumpster for your disposal needs, look no further than Trash Daddy… they truly are top notch!

This is the 5th time I have used Trash Daddy Dumpster for my residential needs. That in itself should indicate my pleasure in working with this company. Paul is very friendly and keeps his word on delivery and pickup. The prices have always been fair, and the 30 yd dumpster that I ordered was very clean upon arrival. The driver was courteous and worked with me to place it in the perfect spot so that it could be easily filled. I appreciate their service and integrity. I would highly recommend this company for one's disposal needs.

If you need the absolute cheapest option, or if you live in an area where other haulers just don't service (like very small, remote areas), Waste Management may be your best, or only, option.
If excellent service is more important to you, smaller local roll-off dumpster companies, like Trash Daddy, will always provide better service thatn WM, and at competitive prices.

It depends on your definition of "good". If you are looking for the absolute cheapest price, then maybe in some local areas, but remember - you get what you pay for. Generally the service is not great. WM's own Google review ratings reflect this — locations frequently show ratings below 4 stars, like their Denver location at 1.4 stars across 203 reviews. Or Waste Management Dumpster Rental Phoenix which shows a 3.6 rating out of 96 reviews.
This can vary greatly by local area, but for a 30 yard dumpster it would not be uncommon to pay $600-$700.
The main difference is the level of service you will experience. Local companies will provide much faster, more responsive service with better communication. And often at a very competitive price as well. You can't call WM and talk to the owner of the company, or even high level managers. If you work with a local roll-off company, you can.
