ⓘ  Pro Tip: At 7 to 8 feet tall, you'll have to use the door on the 40yd. Ensure you have at least 30 feet of length from the end of the dumpster so that you can swing the back door all the way open.

Do You Need a Permit for a Dumpster in Kansas City?

Only if the dumpster is placed on a public street. If it's placed on your driveway or on private property, no permit is needed. For street placement, the permit is arranged directly through the city.  We recommend calling your local KC city office before your delivery date to confirm requirements and timing for your specific address.  We have the "high-side 20s" which are shorter, and even the 30s and 40s still fit in most KC driveways.
