We don't post exact prices online because the cost to rent a dumpster can vary by area and can fluctuate from year to year. This is primarily due to local economic factors like fuel prices and landfill fees and disposal costs. As those rates increase or decrease, so do dumpster rental costs. For a better understanding of dumpster prices, and how to keep your dumpster rental cost low, read our article Dumpster Rental Prices - A Complete Guide.
Unlike other dumpster rental companies, we don't employ sales people. We are not here to "sell you" - just to provide great service at an affordable price. We don't require you to give us your email or phone number just to get some information on a dumpster rental price.
Our team has been in the roll off dumpster business for over 15 years. As a result we are very familiar with market prices, and we work hard to keep our dumpster rental pricing as low and affordable as possible. At Trash Daddy we want you to know who we are so you know who you are dealing with. Take a look at our ABOUT US page for all the details. We appreciate all of our customers very much, and we look forward to helping you rent a dumpster easily and quickly at an affordable price!
And much more. In fact, there are very few things you cannot throw in a roll off dumpster. See some dumpster guidelines below. If you have any questions, of course you can always just use our live chat. It's quick & easy!
There are three things you always want to pay close attention to when it comes to renting a dumpster:
1. not over-filling the dumpster
2. not exceeding the weight allowances
3. not discarding disallowed items
We have a list of prohibited items - see our FAQs page for what cannot go in a dumpster. That leaves over-loading and over-weights. These are both very important to pay attention to because both can increase the cost to rent a dumpster.
The term "weight limit" can be a little confusing. Any dumpster size can haul well over 10 tons of weight, although local laws may not allow that. Many dumpster rental companies will have a weight allowance, often called "weight limit", for each size. That is how much weight is included in the price.
Our rates include a specific weight allowance, but if the dumpster is over-filled, or filled with very heavy material like shingles, dirt, or concrete, it can quickly exceed the allowance. Talking to one of our experts before renting the dumpster and explaining a little about the job or what you are throwing away can usually minimize the risk of going over the limit. However, ultimately this up to the individual customer's judgement. Overweight dumpsters do result in extra charges and increases the dumpster cost. That cost is typically $65 to $95 per ton pro-rated above the weight allowance for each size. It's worth noting that at Trash Daddy it's not common for each size to exceed it's weight allowance if it's filled with just normal debris.
A general rule of thumb can be not filling the dumpster more than half-way when filling it with heavy material like rock, concrete, sod, shingles or dirt. Another option is a "heavy can", which can help minimize the construction dumpster rental cost for heavier material. See more about that below.
At Trash Daddy we have a dumpster service solution for contractors or people wanting to dispose of heavy material. This would be material such as concrete, dirt, rock, brick, sod, shingles or other heavy construction materials. This is a smaller dumpster size, like a 12 yard or 15 yard. It has a higher flat rate price, but it includes a significantly higher weight allowance.
Heavy material can be expensive to dispose of. A "heavy can" from Trash Daddy can help minimize that cost. Reach out to us for more details. Our experts are here to help minimize your dumpster rental cost as much as possible.
CALL US! (888) 970-2144In the case of over-loading - the dumpster cannot legally be hauled if the debris is sticking out of the top, as it could spill out in transit. It should only be filled a little lower than the top of the dumpster. If you fill it past that, the driver may not be able to haul the load, which will result in a "dry run" fee. That means the truck/driver was dispatched, got there to pick up the dumpster, but could not haul it.
